Samuel Slater Experience Receives Cornerstone Award
We were honored to receive the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Cornerstone Award, which acknowledges renovating an existing facility to enhance the aesthetic values and economic vitality of the Blackstone Valley.
Pictured at the November ceremony are SSE founder Christopher Robert with award presenter Michael Welch, CEO of Unibank.

Work Carries On
Over these last couple months, we have seen progress on our waterwheel and Webster Times Office exhibits and on our Massachusetts Mills interactive!
The waterwheel will turn and power the gears in our mill area; the surrounding landscape will be redone for a more authentic look.
The Webster Times Office is now home to an imposing stone and a type case, similar to ones that would have been used in the 1900s.
The interactive will allow visitors to explore the mills of Massachusetts, as well as write a letter to a mill-era pen pal.

Holiday Reception
On December 12, we hosted a holiday reception to thank all those who have been integral in making Samuel Slater Experience a reality, from designers to builders to historians; it has taken a team with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to make this happen. We were also able to welcome our new Experience Guides, who will be essential in making a visit to the museum an enjoyable and memorable one.
