Hours of Operation

Samuel Slater Experience is open to the public year-round on the following days:

Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sunday: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The last tour will start at 3pm.
 
The museum is also open on some Monday holidays and school vacation weeks.
 
The museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.
 
Private events and group visits are scheduled separately. Please reach out to admin@samuelslaterexperience.org to learn more.

Tickets and Pricing

Tickets may be purchased in advance online here or on-site in the gift shop. 

Please note: Visitors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Ticket purchases for school trips, private events, and groups can be arranged directly with staff. Call 508-461-2955 or email admin@samuelslaterexperience.org to coordinate a visit.

Frequently Asked Questions about Touring

How long does a tour last? 

Visitors should plan to spend an hour to an hour-and-a-half for their tour.

How many people are in a tour group?  

Tour groups will have no more than 8 people. If your party is larger than that, please reach out to admin@samuelslaterexperience.org. 

Will I have to wait? 

You may have to wait 10-15 minutes depending on the volume of visitors to the museum. During that time, you can visit the gift shop or lobby.

What should I know before coming? 

There are some sensory aspects to the exhibits, such as intense sounds, lighting, and motion. If you or someone in your party is sensitive to these, please alert staff when you arrive. 

Is the museum wheelchair accessible? 

Yes, it is!
